The Saints are back on the field this afternoon, and there are only a few more practices to prepare before their first preseason game against Arizona.

4:37 p.m. The players are practicing on the lower grass field in shorts and no pads.

4:45 p.m.  Brian Young, Hollis Thomas, Jon Vilma,  and Tracy Porter are sitting out this session.

4:59 p.m. 11-on-11 drills... Good read by safety Roman Harper batting down a Drew Brees pass.  

5:10 p.m. Forgot to mention that Mike McKenzie is practicing this afternoon after sitting out the morning session.

5:17 p.m. The defense dominated the offense in the goalline drills this morning, and they've been pretty consistent in the same drills this afternoon.

 5:25 p.m.Cornerback Randall Gay picked off Drew Brees, but credit to Bobby McCray for applying some pressure on Drew Brees that forced the bad throw.

5:32p.m. The players just took a break from practice and left the field to cool down in the tent. 

5:42 p.m. Special teams is getting some reps in.
