Welcome back to FOX 40's coverage of the Saints Training Camp in Jackson. It's Day Ten and the offense and defense are scrimmage each other on the grass field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

2:25 PM Mike McKenzie is taking part in passing drills with the WRs and DBs, so it looks like he's going to participate today, even though yesterday Payton said he would not play. Also, Jonathan Vilma is not participating. As expected, Tracy Porter is still out with the hamstring injury.

2:31 PM Right now the defensive front consists of Sedrick Ellis, Orlen Harris, Marquies Gunn, and Bobby McCray, but they are rotating guys in and out.

2:35 PM Nice defense play, Jo-Lunn Dunbar just tipped a pass from Brees

2:37 PM Not a good series for the defense, Aaron Glenn just got beat by Lance Moore for the first score.

2:40 PM First team defense on the field now against the first string second string. Randall Gay just stripped the running back of the football. 

2:48 PM Good showing by the first string defense. Brunell and his group only managed to get a one first down in their last series. Mark Simoneau  had a good stop, and Randall Gay had some good stops.

2:54 PM 3s on the field now, LB Marvin Mitchell just stopped Curtis Hamilton for no gain after a short pass from Palko. 

2:57 1st and 10, Greg Fassitt just tripped up and fell down leaving Skyler Green wide open on a 46 yard pass from Palko. Wale Dada saved the touchdown with his tackle.

3:03 PM Special teams on the field now, forgot to mention earlier that DT Brian Young is on the sidelined, but hasn't played. He just rejoined the team after leaving to attending a funeral.

3:07 the 1s are about to get underway with the rookie Sedrick Ellis in at tackle. Will Smith, Charles Grant and Kendrick Clancy make up the rest of the front line.

3:08 Jason David in at corner almost had an interception.

3:11 Charles Grant just stopped Reggie Bush for now gain. 

3:15 Reggie Bush just went untouched on a 7 yard run..

3:21 DT Orlen Harris just sacked Brunell.
