Welcome Back to FOX 40' s continuing coverage of the Saints Training Camp in Jackson. Good news for the defense, Mike McKenzie is supposed to take the field for the first time this afternoon. McKenzie has been out since suffering a serious knee injury in the 2007 season finale. The 'D' had a great morning practice, so the having McKenzie back in action will be an added boost.

4:35 The aftenoon session should be a ligher one in this 100 degree weather. The players are in shorts and pads.

4:50 McKenzie's back. The veteran corner is out in full pads and a helmet for the first time in camp.

4:56 The DBs are out here jamming the receivers. McKenzie and Marques Colston were going against each other, and  the fans around me loved that! From my angle (not a great one) it looked like Colston got around him.

5:11 Defensive Tackle Brian Young is taking the afternoon off after practicing this morning.  Safety Josh Bullocks (knee) is still out. Defensive tackle Hollis Thomas isn't practicing this afternoon either. He's got some ice on his right knee.

5:24 Haven't really see anything yet this practice from second-year CB Usama Young. Young had a spectacular morning practice, in which he had two interceptions (one in team drills, and another in one-on-one drills), and a nice pass breakup in the endzone.

5:33 Defensive end Will Smith just got into it with one of the offensive lineman. It looks like they just got wrapped up after the play, but it took a couple of their teammates to split them up.

5:37 WR Adrian Arrington just had a nice grab and then got nailed by Safety Chris Reis right after the catch. The hit had the entire crowd saying  "ooooooooh"
