HINDS A.H.S. BULLDOGS
Class 2-A, Region 6
2007 Results: 2-8 overall, 2-4 in district
Key Losses: DL John Gilmore (Hinds C.C. signee)
Head Coach: Michael Fields (entering 7th season)
Coach's 2008 Outlook:
Hinds A.H.S. Offense: The Bulldogs version of the triplets will be quarterback Kiente Williams, running back Corbin Edwards and wide receiver Jeremy Lee. They bring a lot of athleticism to the attack and should be fun to watch. If the offensive line can stay together and be more productive, then those skill players should do the rest.
Hinds A.H.S. Defense: The key cog in the defense's 5-3 attack will be linebacker Jimmy White. Coach Fields believes he has good depth and good skill to work with on this side of the ball, he just needs the defensive linemen to be a little better.
Hinds A.H.S. Notable Games: They are not a district foe, but Raymond is definitely the big rival for Hinds A.H.S., with the schools being separated by just 15 miles.
Coach's Key To Victory: Coach Fields made sure to point out that his special teams play really improved as last season progressed and if that continues, that may be an extra factor helping this team improve in the win column. John Gilmore will be missed on defense, but the Bulldogs should have enough guys stepping in to make that group strong enough to stop people.
