Joseph Makes History Winning Conerly Trophy

Juan Joseph was the first Division III player to be named a finalist for the Conerly Trophy and Tuesday night he became the first to win the award.

The Millsaps quarterback beat out a pair of Ole Miss Rebels, in offensive lineman Michael Oher and defensive lineman Peria Jerry.

Joseph, the first QB to win the trophy since Eli Manning, threw for over 3,400 yards and 32 TD passes this season in leading the Majors to an 11-1 record. He also led his team in rushing with over 400 yards.
