FOX 40 is here at Saints Camp for Day Three.

8:47 AM There's a nice breeze outside as the players are slowly making the way to the field.

9:06 AM Both Mike McKenzie and Josh Bullocks are participating in walk-throughs. McKenzie's not in full gear, but Bullocks is suited up and looks like he may be ready to fully participate in today's practice.  We'll find out more about his status from Payton after practice.

9:24 AM The DBs are in the usual spot on the upper grass practice fields,directly in front of the fan bleachers. They're walking through formations, and many are anxious to see Randall Gay, Tracy Porter, and Aaron Glenn.

9:41 AM This is only Tracy Porter's second practice here at training camp. The newly signed rookie stated yesterday that he spent a lot of time studying the playbook in minicamps, so he doesn't expect to be too far behind.

9:54 AM The offensive and defensive lines are working against each other right now. Coach O said he was really excited about the pass-rush and DE Bobby McCray, but we haven't seen much of him yet in these practices.

10:04 AM The fans really want CB Jason David to do well. He got a loud cheer after he beat his receiver one-on-one.

10:25 AM Special teams is getting some work in.

10:40 AM In full offense/defense drills now, CB Aaron Glenn had some nice coverage on his receiver that forced an incompletion.

10:51 AM DT Hollis Thomas just rolled his blocker over in a pass-rush drill. Thomas is just too big, C Jonathan Goodwin never had a chance.

11:03 AM Josh  Bullocks definitely looks to be at full strength. He almost laid out his receiver on one play.

Press Conference Tidbits

- Contract negotiations with Sedrick Ellis are getting better thanks to LB Vernon Gholston signing with Jets yesterday and Glenn Dorsey signing with the Chiefs today.

-Payton says Jonathan Vilma isn't having any ill effects from his surgery. He's pleased that the linebacker is healthy and moving well.
