TERRY BULLDOGS
Class 5-A, Region 3
2007 Results: 4-7 overall, 2-5 in district - no playoffs
Key Losses: WR Rashun Dixon (Oakland A's draft pick, turned down football scholarship to Miss. St.), LB Jonathan Pace
Head Coach Bill French (entering 5th season)
Coach's 2008 Outlook
Terry Offense: Losing the likes of an all-world athlete like Rashun Dixon will be hard to replace, but the Bulldogs must move on. They'll do that with players like quarterback Clark Shearer and tailback Jarrett Johnson. Gunnar White has one of the best football names in the area, and he has the role of being the Bulldogs top returning offensive lineman. For Terry to put up points, those three and the offensive unit as a whole will have to stay healthy.
Terry Defense: Two standouts return for the Terry defense, linebacker Keith Gibson and defensive lineman Patrick Fields. These two fit well into the 50-scheme that Coach French runs and will be relied upon to keep teams out of the endzone
Terry Notable Games: Raymond is a game that Terry always circles on the schedule and this year that circle can be found in week one.
Terry Coach's Key To Victory: Bulldog fans should look for a few changes coming to the offense with Paul Anderson being brought in as the new offensive coordinator. Another thing to keep an eye on is the return of Deshun Dixon. Yes another Dixon at Terry. Deshun broke his leg in the first game of the 2007 season and is trying to make a comeback.
