Murder Trial Starts for 1 of 4 Brothers

By Stephen Peteritas

One of four brothers accused of murder is scheduled to stand trial this week in the shooting death of 25-year-old Justin Maurice Harris.

Armond Trevillion is charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The 28-year-old man had served a previous 15-year sentence for aggravated assault.

If convicted of murder, Trevillion faces up to life in prison.

Trevillion, along with brothers, 30-year-old Anthony Trevillion, 35-year-old Alonzo Trevillion and 29-year-old Matthew Nash were indicted in the shooting. Also indicted was 32-year-old Rufus Armstrong.

Prosecutors say a sawed-off shotgun and an AK-47 rifle were used to kill Harris on June 17.
