Still Lights Out in Parts of Natchez

By Lynn Lampkin

After seeing the unfortunate face of Hurricane Gustav, some Natchez residents are still without power tonight.

FOX 40 spoke with the Adams County Sheriff Ronny Brown who confirmed the reconnection of electricity for most of the city and added the remainder would be restored by Thursday night or early Friday morning.

An American Red Cross van was near downtown Thursday afternoon distributing lunch plates to more than two dozen people still without electricity.

After being without power for days and not being operative, the city of Natchez is back up and running for the most part.

Gas stations are re-opened and restaurants, back serving up.
