Bradberry Was More to Saint Andrews Than Just a Football Coach

Bradberry's Six Year Tenure as Head Coach Comes to an End

By Christopher England

The Saints' 21-7 loss to North Forrest Friday night in the first round of the 2-A State playoffs may have ended the David Bradberry era at Saint Andrews, but what he meant to the football program and the school will not soon fade away.

During Bradberry's tenure the Saints racked up four District Championships, a 27-5 district record with a 52-18 overall record. As impressive as those records are, many say victories on the field is not his most important accomplishments at Saint Andrews.

"I'm really going to take away just how to be a better person all-around," said Senior Saints star Fulton Cannon. "You look at him and he's one of the most exemplary people you've ever seen."

"I've been around coaches for 28 years I've been in sports medicine and  I've never met a better man and a better coach together in one person," said Dolph Woodall, parent of player Davis Woodall and the team trainer.
